![]() ![]() The Turtl application comes with 5 predefined annotation types: text annotations, passwords, files, images and bookmarks. However, the Turtl server is free and open source software, so you can install and use your own instance. Turtl developers provide this service (hosted server) for free, but will plan to provide advanced services in the future. Chrome and Firefox extensions can be used to easily mark the page you are viewing, which is ideal for quickly saving the site for later use. The Turtl application is available for Linux, Windows, macOS and Android, and the iOS application should also be available in the future. ![]() This free open source tool is considered a Beta version of the software and can be used to take notes in a safe place, save bookmarks, store documents and images, and anything else you may need. TurtIt is a “secure encryption Evernote alternative”. After introducing Turtl, I will introduce the new version in the second part of this article. Turtl was updated to version 0.7 yesterday, this new version comes with a rewritten server, and other changes. ![]()
